GMX and web.de send digital version of letters to their users mailboxes

The german email platforms GMX and web.de, which belong both to 1&1, have a new service.

Letters are sent as digital versions to receivers who subscribed to this procedure. It is made possible by the Deutsche Post, 50 large senders and around 10 000 small and middle sized companies which work together. The letters aren't scanned, the letters are sent as a digital version separately. Encryption and signatures secure the transfer of the data.
